Andy Kruse - Board Member

Andy Kruse is the Executive Vice President for Business Development of Southwest Windpower, the world’s leading manufacturer of residential scale wind generators. His company has produced over 140,000 machines that are used in more than 120 countries to supply energy for lighting, water pumping, village clinics and schools, sailboats and grid-connected homes.

Andy co-founded the company in 1987 and has been involved in the renewable energy industry for over 25 years. He has traveled to 70 countries promoting and developing distributors for small scale renewables. His background is in Management, International Marketing, Channel Development and Domestic Policy. Currently, Mr. Kruse oversees the company’s Governmental Affairs and Certification efforts.

Andy has written numerous marketing and technical articles on renewable energy and received a number of awards with the most recent being “National Exporter of the Year” from the Small Business Administration, the “Small Wind Advocate of 2009” from the American Wind Energy Association and the President's “E” award. He sits on several boards of organizations that support the renewable energy industry and is the Chair of the Small Wind Committee of the American Wind Energy Association.
