Amy LeGere - Board Member

Amy LeGereAmy LeGere is the Director of Development and Government Relations for Foresight Wind Energy, a leading utility-scale renewable energy developer in the Western U.S. Her role spans the spectrum of development services from stakeholder relations and permitting through critical path project management. Ms. LeGere is based in Foresight’s Flagstaff office. 

Foresight Wind Energy has multiple wind projects in various stages of development in northern Arizona and neighboring states. Ms. LeGere led project management for the development of the 100 megawatt High Lonesome Wind Project in New Mexico, which delivers energy to APS. She is also managing development of the 500 megawatt Grapevine Canyon Wind Project, Sunshine Wind Park, and the Boquillas Wind Project in Coconino County.

Prior to Foresight, Ms. LeGere owned and operated a successful consulting firm with a focus on renewable energy, strategic market and business development, sustainable economic development, and public policy. During her career, Ms. LeGere was responsible for corporate communications and internet strategy for W.L. Gore & Associates, and advertising services for a Gannet daily newspaper.

Ms. LeGere received her MBA for Executives from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 2002, and a BA in Marketing Communications from the University of Minnesota. In addition to serving on the SEDI Board, she previously served on the Boards of the Coconino Community College Foundation, the Greater Flagstaff Economic Council, Flagstaff Rotary, and the Coconino Coalition for Children and Youth. She was an initiator of the Flagstaff Festival of Science, and served on its Board for several years. Ms. LeGere has also served on multiple committees of the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Coconino High School Site Council.
