Dave Williamson - Board Member

Dave WilliamsonDave Williamson is a successfull entrepreneur and business owner. He also serves the city of Flagstaff as Sales Manager for the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Dave worked in the wholesale liquor industry for 21 years, living in various communities throughout Arizona. He joined Flagstaff's Mogollon Brewing Co. in September, 2001 as the managing partner. Seeing an opportunity for southwestern-themed spirits he and his partner Dana Kanzler changed and amended state and federal laws to form Arizona’s first legal distillery, Arizona High Spirits Distillery. Today they make the world’s only prickly pear flavored vodka and a world-class American vodka.  A single-malt, mesquite-smoked whiskey is aging in barrels and will be released in 2 to 3 years when it has matured.

Dave has a strong commitment for the community in which he lives. He serves on the Board of Directors for both the Governor’s Council for Small Business and the Friends of Coconino County Parks. Dave is an active member of the Flagstaff Sunrise Lions Club. He was recently asked to serve on the Advisory Board for Zero Waste at Yavapai Community College. Over the years, Dave has helped organize numerous fund raising events in the different Arizona communities in which he has lived. Several of these fundraisers have become yearly events and are still continuing to raise funds for their local communities.

Dave is married to Diane, his beautiful wife of 25 years. They are both certified wine sommeliers and enjoy fine wine and gourmet cooking. They have two sons. Alex, 24, is a United States Marine who recently returned safely home from Afghanistan where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Their youngest son Eric, 22, is currently working at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
