Jodie Filardo - Board Member

Jodie Filardo Jodie is the City of Sedona's first economic planner. She is responsible for researching current trends in the economic environment, educating the public on economic issues impacting Sedona, building and sustaining regional alliances, and developing innovative economic directions for a city with disparate constituencies. Applying broad industry experience from the private sector as input into a public sector position enables Jodie to advocate for business in a governmental job. A "techie" by training and a problem-solver by birth, Jodie is a trouble-shooter experienced in designing new uses of technology or solving team challenges in complex environments.

Jodie is the founder and past president of Verde Valley Leadership; co-founder of the Verde Valley Broadband Cooperative; Board Member of the Sedona Main Street Program; Appointed Member of the Arizona Economic Round Table; and a member of the Arizona Association of Economic Developers, International Economic Development Council, Northern Arizona Council of Governments Economic Development Council, and the Verde Valley Regional Economic Organization.

Her educational achievements include a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. In her spare time she consults with organizations to build strategic planning competency.

Jodie is married with three sons. She speaks intermediate French and elementary conversational Mandarin Chinese. She is a small plane pilot for when she needs to get away.
