John Holmes - Board Member

John HolmesJohn Holmes is retired after a 35 year career in local government. In 2007, he served as the Interim City Manager of the City of Flagstaff. He held the position of County Manager of Coconino County from 2002 to 2006. His prior career includes service as City Manager in Riverside, California, Redlands, California, and Casa Grande, Arizona and Assistant to the City Manager in Scottsdale, Arizona.

John has been actively involved in the communities he has served. Currently, he is the President of the Board of the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. He participated in successful campaigns to help finance the Coconino County Jail and to improve the transit system.

John is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and holds a Master of Governmental Administration degree from the Fels Institute, Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania.

John and Julie, his wife, enjoy day hiking and travelling.
