Jim Wurgler, M.D. - Board Member

Presently serving on the Williams City Council, Dr. Wurgler retired form medical practice in 2005. He practiced Medicine as Family and General Practitioner for 23 years in Yosemite National Par, and 10 years in Grand Canyon National Park.

Jim is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and Univ. of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He served on the board of the Grand Canyon Association for 12 years, three of them as Board Chair.

He is a member of the Williams Economic Development Committee and the Williams Clean and Beautiful Committee, which actively promotes recycling and conservation. Jim is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Association, which he serves as vice chair.

Jim has been married to Mary JoRae (Jody) for 49 years, with 5 children and 15 grand-children. He is dedicated to volunteerism, Books on Tape, and the desire to find and attract to Williams a viable company or business representing a sustainable activity.
