Resources and Opportunities : Northern Arizona Area Health Education Center, Inc. (NAHEC)

Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo and Apache counties include the state’s largest and most populous Indian reservations and face great health disparities in rural communities, both on and off reservation. NAHEC brings students in medicine, nursing, dental hygiene and other disciplines to the region through a rotation program to train in the delivery of primary care and alternative therapies at community health centers. NAHEC’s parent organization is North Country Community Health Center, located in Flagstaff, with satellite clinics in each of the counties being served.

For more information, please contact Rick Swanson, Training and Development Director for the North Country Community Health Center at 928-213-0125, or download the NAHEC pdf from the Arizona Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Web site.
